The Pressure Jet unit is manufactured in the UK and is fully guaranteed for one year. It has full OFTEC approval and can be fitted to a suitable appliance by an OFTEC registered engineer in less than one day.

Q. So what's a suitable appliance then?

A. Original Oil Fired, deluxe model Agas are the obvious choice, but the list goes like this, - OC, OCB, OE, GC, GCB, GE, pre 1974 and post deluxe cookers. Rayburn OF7, OF22, 208K, G7 and G33. It can also be fitted to the Nobel oil fired cooker.

Q. Are there any modifications to my cooker then?

A. There are no external modifications to your cooker. In most cases there is a need to remove parts of the internal castings, but all will be discussed at the time of site visit or inspection.

Q. What will I notice about the running of my cooker once converted?

A. A smaller fuel bill for a start. If you have a Rayburn OF22 for instance, your fuel bill may half in size and you could get 50% more heat, allowing you to supply 9 radiators instead of 5 (source, www.snughomecookers.co.uk ). Noise is another obvious difference, the conversion in an Aga is around 48 decibels with the burner running, in a Rayburn its a bit more due to the physical size and mass difference of an Aga over a Rayburn. Cast iron flues (of the future?) will make a difference.

Q. What performance can I hope to get from my Rayburn?

A. Up to 39,000 btus from your G33 and 32,000 btus from your OF22 on less oil. The old trough burners were at best 50% efficient - less as the carbon builds up in the pipework. The snugburner is around 79% efficient heat to water, the other 21% heating the oven, hob, room and chimney.
